Two brothers making beats.

At BeatsBackground, we are a couple of brothers and musicians that wanted to create a resource for streamers and music for the background of live. To use beats in a stream, just pick an album or playlist and start playing on your preferred music service (Spotify, Pretzel, Apple Music, Amazon). We will never make any DMCA claims or copyright strikes. We just want to make beats.

We are dedicated to producing high-quality, original background music and beats to stream for free on Twitch or Youtube. Looking to stream beats and not have to worry about DMCA strikes? Don’t want to have to pay for a royalty-free beats subscription service? You can use our free music in live streams and videos as much as you want, no sign-up is necessary.

We also curate playlists, including some of the best lofi playlists for studying, sreaming, and focus. Our playlists are available on Spotify.

Here’s one of our favorite singles, Del Mar, if you want to listen here first. Enjoy!

FAQs

Who can use BeatsBackground?

Anyone. Whether you live stream video games, make-up tutorials, cooking, or anything in-between, BeatsBackground can be your background music for Twitch or YouTube. As long as you can stream music on Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon you’re good to go our DMCA free music for live streams. To make it easy, here’s a link to our royalty-free playlist on Spotify. Give it a like and a follow!

Can I use BeatsBackground on Twitch?

Yes. We don’t submit copyright strikes or DMCA takedowns. Rarely, there can be an incorrect match on a BeatsBackground original track from Twitch’s automated system “Audible Magic”. If that happens, it still does not count as a copyright/strike and is a VOD/clip mute. This frustrates us too because our beats are all original and provided copyright-free for use in streams.

Can I use BeatsBackground on YouTube?

Yes. We provide these beats copyright and royalty-free so you can keep the monetization on your videos. We are constantly working to be in compliance with YouTube policies. Like Twitch, YouTube can occasionally have an incorrect match with their automated system “ContentID”. Again, this frustrates us too and YouTube’s automated systems can be difficult to fight against.

One caution with DMCA free beats for YouTube, there are some bad actors falsely claiming copyright on music like ours, Harris Heller Stream Beats, and others. This is difficult to avoid and can happen without our knowledge. If this happens to you please reach out to us via our Copyright Claim Report and we will do the best we can to help with the appeal process.

Can I use BeatsBackground on Facebook Gaming?

Maybe. This is a bit trickier, and the one that can cause the most challenges. Facebook Gaming plays nice with its partners and makes it difficult for independent streamers and content creators. We are not able to provide as much confidence in Facebook Gaming as we are with Twitch and YouTube. As always, the beats are provided copyright-free and royalty-free for your use, we just can’t ensure that Facebook Gaming will always place nice.

Do I Have To Sign-Up or Buy Beats?

No. Just stream BeatsBackground on your preferred music service, that’s all you have to do. We don’t sell beats or a subscription service, we just distribute beats via Spotify/Apple Music/Amazon Music. You can use your normal music streaming account, you don’t need to buy anything from us.

Wait, if I don’t have to sign-up or buy anything… and it’s copyright-free and royalty-free, how does BeatsBackground make money?

Good question. It’s pretty simple, we make money from Spotify/Apple Music/Amazon Music. When you stream from those services, we are paid like your favorite music artists. The more people streaming our music, the better! Our structure is more similar to StreamBeats by Harris Heller (another great resource for free music for livestreams!) than subscription services like Epidemic Sound and Pretzel (two of the better subscription services for stream-safe music).

Ok…is there anything I can do as a thank you?

We’re happy you even read this far! The best way you can thank us is by telling a friend about BeatsBackground, sharing our playlist, following our Spotify profile, and continuing to stream our music.
